| As you can see, it has been finished with a certain care of detail: |
| better working slowly, than searching fast results. |

| reproducing or simulating reality, but in a context of a fantastic golden world. This layout tells us the story of a little state-town on the Alps: between Austrian and Italian frontiers, may be, or between Swiss and Italian ones. Bystander’s fantasy has to do the rest. You can see a simple and symbolic frontier placed on a bridge (a little bridge, of course), before entering the village through the town door: ancient reminder, romantic atmosphere! Almost today’s times, for people, cars, trains (the so called III Epoch, the sixties / seventies), but past times are here a rich and well kept heritage. So, you’ll find the old boarding-house „Red Horse„ near the station, the castle (a Kibri milestone) and the wall ruins, round the whole state-town. Faller, Vollmer, Woodland Scenics, Noch, Brawa, Busch, help you to set your „film“, too. |
| Preiser gives it the life appearance: here are people, who are buying at the village market, who are passing by or waiting for the train. |
| And this is our chapter one: railroad passion mixed to search of ideal and nostalgic worlds, to overcome life disappointments. |

| How could we start talking about an enterprise like that? First of all, let’s say previous experience gives you a treasure of know-how to avoid mistakes; so, no improvisation. |
| My purpose is now to make a layout including the old one (on the right side), but with a new town scene, a larger railroad station, and a little but complete diorama of an airport (on the left side), the short leg of an „L“ shaped table: no intercontinental flights buildings, but a simple domestic flights station: no problem, yet, if a charter flight, operated by a wide body aircraft, reaches the modern town, near our tourist place, with its ruins, village and castle. |
| The difference in level, between the new town with central station and the castle area, will help to divide them (ideally) more than real distance could do. Hills or low mountains are not the same: I like more only high rocks and wild hills, instead of mountains out of scale: my old layout should show what I mean. |
| To have a more professional approach to railroad drawing, I used a German software: Wintrack. A good software, but working of course in German language, according to the principle „you need us, learn our language“. Italians should learn......... |
